Ashford St. Mary's Church of England Primary School

School Council

Our School Council meets every two weeks and has a representative from each class in years 1-6 who are elected by their peers. Members are elected following the British Value of democracy.

Our School Council encourages pupils to take an active part in developing our school and to have a voice. This important role gives children the opportunity to put forward ideas, work cooperatively and gain a greater sense of belonging to our local and global community. They will discuss issues and work on projects both within the school and also with a national, global and charity based focus. Our School Council is one that represents the views of our pupils and acts on these.

The School Council is led by Miss Pratten.
