Ashford St Mary’s provides a supportive and stimulating Christian environment where all children feel valued and able to develop their full potential in God’s ever changing world.
It is a large school, with 420 pupils aged between 4 and 11. We are situated in the centre of Ashford and our pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds.
Our school building is spacious and well resourced. Art and music are particular strengths of the school and that is immediately apparent as you enter the building. Our two playgrounds provide ample equipment and space for children to play as well as areas to be quieter if they wish.
There is an independent nursery attached to the school as well as a breakfast and after school club. We also offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and activities to enhance the children’s learning.
We believe that it is important to forge strong links with parents and with the local community and, amongst other things, run a number of clubs and courses for parents or for whole families to take part in together. Our Parent Support Officer is an important point of contact for families. The school also has close links with St Mary’s Church and other Christian groups.
Although our pupils achieve well, we are interested in more than just results. We aim to provide an inspiring, stimulating and enjoyable education for all our pupils, introducing them to a wealth of exciting experiences across the whole curriculum.

Non Uniform day - Christmas Fayre donations
November 20, 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
Wednesday 20th November will be a non-uniform day, in order to collect donations for our upcoming Winter Wonderland Christmas Fayre.
We would like each child to bring in donations according to their year group.
EYFS Mince pies and cakes (please be aware of best before dates)
YEAR 1 & 2 Biscuits and chocolates
YEAR 3 & 4 Toiletries and gifts/pocket money toys
YEAR 5 & 6 Drinks, including alcoholThe items brought in will be used to form prizes and refreshments for our Christmas fayre - we hope to raise a lot of money towards enrichment activities this year. We do not want to put additional financial strain on families, so please don't feel you have to spend a lot of money. Small items and unwanted gifts are all very welcome as they can be grouped together to make up bigger prizes.
Any alcohol that is donated, will be collected on the gate, and put into our trolley so that children will not need to take it into class.
Many thanks for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you to the fayre after school on Friday 29th November (more details to follow)
